An old–fashioned welcome awaits you at
the Tuskeegee Motel by owners Ben and Barbara Crisp who have
operated the business since 1967. You will feel “at home”
with these folks who take pride in their mountain heritage. The
Crisp’s feel that your visit to their Tuskeegee Motel is
a part of what is good and proper in these North Carolina hills.
Enjoy complete relaxation in a setting of nature’s beauty
apart from the cares of the world. Our motel features standard
rooms, efficiencies, satellite TV, gift shop, and Citgo Gas Station.
Our rates vary during the season with rooms starting at a reasonable
$32.00 a night. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American
Express.
The Tuskeegee Motel offers a country atmosphere yet is close
to many of the popular Smoky Mountain attractions.
Cherokee, only 35 miles distant, has a Cherokee Indian museum
and Reservation, craft shops, and Harrah’s Casino.
Fontana Dam and Lake, just 7 miles away, provides the largest
contained lake east of the Rockies. Fontana Village is a great
place to enjoy swimming, fishing, boat rentals, and horseback
riding.
Only 15 miles away is Robbinsville which offers shopping and
a major supermarket.
Another nearby town is Bryson City, just a 25 minute drive. This
is where you can board the Smoky Mountain Railroad for a scenic
train ride through the mountains.
There are many scenic roads, but the Cherohala Skyway is one
of the favorites, winding around mountain tops to an elevations
over 5300 feet. Many say it is better than the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Another famous roadway is Deal’s Gap also known as the Tail
of the Dragon. This twisty road attracts motorcyclists and sports
car enthusiasts from all over the United States and Canada.
Franklin, Pigeon Forge, Cades Cove, and Gatlinburg are close
enough for a one-day excursion. |

the motel, stocks sandwiches, hot dogs, hand dipped ice cream,
Danish pastries, sausage biscuits, milkshakes, sundaes, hot coffee,
grocery items, and picnic supplies. We also carry many personal
necessities that you might have forgotten to pack. |
