Graham Help Foundation is a non-profit organization started
and founded by the employees of Phillips & Jordan's Robbinsville,
North Carolina office. All positions within GHF are voluntary
with no monetary compensation. All monies donated go directly
to the goals listed below.
Our goals are simple and distinct:
1. Provide help to Graham County people in need (fire, illness,
death in family, etc.).
2. Be a leader in historic preservation of our Graham County
and the Town of Robbinsville.
3. Lead in the redevelopment and economic, development of Graham
County.
4. Create an equal balance between doing what's good for Graharn
County but also preserve our natural beauty (lakes, streams,
mountains, etc).
Accomplishments since our creation in January 1998:
1. $9,804,69 dollars has been given to Graham Countains in
need.
2. Contributed $5,500.00 to the matching funds program to bring
Tri-County Community College to open its Robbinsville campus.
3. Purchased a dilapidated building, which will be demolished
in order to facilitate the revitalization of the Town of Robbinsville.
Cost of building $3,593.69.
4. Contributed $1,175.00 to different non?profit organizations
or fundraisers to benefit the people of Graham County.
5. Started a program to paint all the fire hydrants within Graham
County with a color-designated scheme to identify what size of
existing water line was present at each location to assist in
any fire fighting operation.
6. Removed abandoned underground storage tanks at three different
locations within Graham
County.
7. Located and removed over 50 junk automobiles from various
areas of the county. All of these automobiles have been completely
removed from the county.
8. Disposed of the old abandoned cross ties and railroad spikes
which had been removed from the old Graham County Railroad.
9. Removed and disposed of over 25 abandoned dilapidated billboards
or signs scattered along the road sides of Graham County highways.
10. Provided over $5,000.00 worth of free land surveying for
different projects throughout the county, such as New Hope Baptist
Church, Cedar Cliff Baptist Church, Robbinsville Downtown Streetscape
Project, Robbinsville Courthouse Revitalization Project, and
Fire Hall location for the Snowbird Volunteer Fire Department.
11. With the assistance of Phillips & Jordan, Robbinsville
Contracting and Kenny McKeldrey Trucking, G.H.F. removed approximately
300 cubic yards of household garbage located adjacent to a mountain
trout stream in the Sweetwater Community.
